A great day in Sussex with friends

I ot to sit because I was the shortest lol..

oh my cousin doing a little skit for us. lol

It was a beautiful day in Sussex when we headed down to meet others at the restaurant,"All Seasons"

We travelled down with Carol Lee and Paul Rowan and met my cousin Brenda and
her husband there and Peg and Paul Jensen also from Moncton.

We had the special, fish cakes and Mal had beans which looked delicious but he had
them gone before I could get a taste.  Must make them, have a bean crock in basement probably never used in years , belonged to Mal's uncle Cal.

It was a fun day by all...... thanks for the invite Carol Lee and Paul.

Coincidence or what

Well the last of fall pictures and my dear family at Thanksgiving that I forgot I took.

But I really wanted to tell you about a concidence yesterday, I went to Value village with Kate
I was looking for a couple of items for an event coming up which is a fun  event. Found a shirt
and tried it on, it was a little small  to get off over my other items so a woman stopped to help me.
We got talking and she was excited she was going to Mexico, a gift from her grandson and
said she was from Oromocto but originally from Saint John.

First  I asked if she knew my friends, well yes of course she did, then said she had been married
48 years, I said so was I, Where did you live in Saint John , the south end, of course she did, lol
Well what high school did you attend, St Vincents, and graduated in 68, same year as I did.

She asked what was your maiden name, I said Pat Shannon, I thought she was going to faint as
she reached over to give me a hug, I sat right across from her in High school in same class for  2 years and graduated with her, Carolyn Small............now is that a concidence or what....50 years since
we seen each other... what a surprise, made my day.  We promised to meet again and not 50 years from now.

surprise visit

drive home...at dusk

Today Malcolm and I decided it was a good day to see the leaves, suppose to rain this week and would not
want to miss the beauty of our fall colors on trees.  We ended up in Minto and Chipman two places we never have
been before and enjoying a drive.

We stopped at a tim hortons in Minto , you could tell you were a stranger in their small town, lol all eyes go
on you from the locals .  We headed back towards Chipman and decided at the end of road we would head to
Jemseg where the flooding had been this spring.  Whow many homes are raised or waiting to be raised, and
the remains of the flood are piled high in driveways.

Wecontinued on and surprised Paula and Laurie at their front door, calling from outside their house, lol we
went in and joined them for supper, delicious turkey a la king, I have not had in awhile and boy it was delicious.
We shared many wonderful memories of our dear friend Rama who passed away this past week. It sure helped
our loss of good times in Miramichi, Moncton and Myrtle beach where we spent many many years playing golf
sequence and of course my many great adventures with Anitha..we had some great times and memories.

fall

Well its been a week since I had a good walk so had to get out their and hit the trail today for sure,
especially after hitting the scales.  Yes I gained this week but I truly enjoyed every bite I had which
was a no no but after a year and a half since I had a few of these treats I gave in and no regrets.  Ill get back on track this week with healthy meals my daughter prepared for me to help get back on track.

My walk took me down to the park for a great walk for about an hour, met many people down their and lots of doggie's who love this weather for a walk.  The colors are really coming to life and I love
fall colors.

Supper with Edna and Reed this evening before their great trip to Nashville and Memphis, have a wonderful time.

Visit to Miramichi

Spent a few days on the Miramichi and we never stopped the whole time.  Supper in Rogersville where I met Pat and on up the River to join the other RBC Retirees for fun and laughter everywhere
we went.

5 of us went to Candle and in the Window and stopped in Boisetown for Breakfast. Before we left
the donuts came out and they had molasses donuts which I never had before, oh my goodness they
are delicious and worth the drive to get them early though or you will miss them.

The next day 5 of us had coffee and sweets at Kim's, again lots of laughs and fun time in her
new home.

8 of us met at the Rodd for Lunch next day and were so busy talking we forgot about a picture of
us all together.  next time.  lol

Church supper, garage sales, a few more visits.  Home on train Monday to have a rest. lol

Always a great time on the Miramichi.
