group get together before heading south

Lunch with friends was great, Rick and Lucy, Kirk and Debbie all gathered at Moxie's for
a meeting before heading south.

Lots of laughs, tips on discounts, hotels, meals AND........ a great idea from Kirk to help with a cut down we have a drink before or after a supper out....Seeing as a beer is about 9.00 dollars  US..

After lunch we went back home and picked up Kate, wondering what we were going to go now...lol
Trent was ready to come over when we arrived in Riverview and Garret informed he is staying with Grampie the weekend while I am away....Do you think They will miss us. lol

The end of another week....

If I had a flower for everytime I thought of you.....
I could walk through my garden forever... by Alfred Tennyson

Thank you Margaret for the verse above, so nice to receive from a dear friend. Apparently it was in a calendar I gave Marg when I was up in Ontario this summer.

My friend Pat also shared a little verse for every day of the week so I can start the day out with a smile.

One of the verses reads "books are lifelong friends whom we come to love and know as we do our children" S.L.Boardman

Until you try, you don't know what you can do. Henry James...

I also got this picture from Anitha this AM....so cute..

Now this is Mr Mac outside on garbage day , see those seagulls on the roof across the street well he just chased them from our garbage, they actually lifted the old blanket off of the garbage to get at food bag.  He had to put something heavy over blanket as they watched him...lol

a beautiful calming picture I seen on facebook this AM..

Also seen on facebook but what talent to do these sculptures.

See you next week.... I am heading to Miramichi so may not be much news on blogs till I return.

The cold has hit.......outside..

Well not much news today, it was so cold yesterday that we ran down to Sears and started our winter shopping, lol  too expensive in the US this year so keeping it in Canada...

Actually I had a gift card and decided to spend it, and that I did without a problem at all, Mac found himself a nice sweater for the golf course so we were happy.

Took Kate to lunch at MacDonald's and back home......Spending a quiet evening in front of tv...

scrap time...

Well the guys were watching sports and although we didn't get the snow we expected I decided to
hide in basement and tackle some scrapbooking.  I had bought a small album at Michaels that I didn't realize had a few small places to stick photos or whatever so it really took me all day filling this small album. still need to add embellishments to photos.

Kate came over later and we picked up her glasses..... turning cold out there.

Watched a couple of great shows Sunday night, Madame Secretary and my Favorite...............Downton Abbey...in its final season. going to miss it .

Farewell to friends

The trucks have arrived...

Rama's favorite chair last but not least to go

Josh....

Well we said goodbye to Anitha and Rama as they move from their home before heading to Myrtle Beach for next 3 months.

One thing after living on Frampton Lane for 8 years we met our neighbour, yes they are right next to Bill and Sandy and
a very nice guy....... We had lots of laughs through the day.

We had a great evening that night as Anitha and Rama stayed with us and Sue, Rob and the kids came over to see them
and they had a nice relaxing evening.

Rama likes French toast for breakfast.........of course Mac loved that.. Its not goodbye but see you in Myrtle Beach.

snap a few pictures at 10:30 AM the snow was down to flurries and really looked good....

The snowplows were out in full force early and salt trucks were on the go last night.

The kids had no school so its sleep in time.......Maybe its not over, lol we will see as the day continues......

facebook

I love this comedy........ and believe me nothing can distract me faster than facebook.
I hear the ipad ding in the morning , see who it is , reply and then facebook, lol

There are several types of facebook onlookers........those who tell it all, those who are
creepers (say nothing just look) those who sell items or advertise whats going on in their
community or people who search for old friends from our childhood. Many enjoy a few
games like bejewelled, hidden express and I will never forget one I was hooked on Farmville. I was so bad that I would have to race home to pick my vegetables. lol

I myself have found many many friends from the southend , where I grew up and
its so nice to come together with these  folks to see how their lives have gone, where they have
lived and worked over the years.  Personally I LOVE facebook..

Grandchildren visit Anitha and Rama

Well I was a nice surprise for the girls to surprise Anitha and Rama with a visit this weekend.
We dropped up for a quick visit before they left and brought ice cream, a favorite with all children.

The little one loves to play on the mat so wrapped herself up in it to be sure  I got a picture.

2 hockey games this weekend for the wildcats and Kate went along with Grampie. Garret had a tournament but they got knocked out Saturday.

Trent took in a wildcat game before heading to his job at Dairy Queen.

I made another batch of turkey soup on Sunday, it was such a big hit after Christmas so figured it was time for another pot full, freezing some for Mal Jr when we are away.

Some quite pictures I found on internet:

Some pages from 2015 smash book Myrtle Beach

Well another smash book completed for Paula and Laurie for Christmas 2015, not sure when
I started this tradition but think they have quite a few years now.

Yesterday we helped Anitha along with other friends from the area and even Miramichi friends arrived to give a hand , goes along pretty fast when lots of hands on deck.

Time is flying by fast and before you know it we will all be heading to Myrtle Beach for a
few months but with the rate of money the way it is we will be cutting down on any shopping. lol
