Dr Suess

Dr Suess
DJ

The minute we walked into the pet store I noticed Dr. Suess, he was a 6 year stray that the animal shelter brought into the store along with other dogs with the hope people would adopt.

Even though I knew our days of owning dogs was over I could not take my eyes off Dr. Suess, h was
just so darn cute and well behaved.  Susan and Kate thought for sure he found a home, lol

We walked a little further and there DJ but my first thought when to the past of a little dog named Chrissy, look familiar Rose?  12 years old and all he was interested in was sleep..

By the time I came back to the front Dr. Suess was adopted, the papers were being filled out.
2 doggies were finding new homes in the short time we were there.

Would you like some tomatoes. lol  every day more and more are picked....

Remember this guy?? Seinfield...

Had a great visit with Paula and Laurie and of course Pumpkin too.......Paula took us to the Pumpkin Patch for my spoon bread and Anitha loved the place, she found chili's nice and fresh and beans too.

Its a great place with a little mini zoo to the side , a bakery with lovely pasteries and breads and all kinds of jams.

Took a drive down to Gagetown, Anitha loved the old post office so here she is:

We went through a couple of little stores, most are closed till the Christmas in the village is held late October.

Headed back to town but not before stopping for coffee and a dessert

An interesting sight:

Golf in Oromocto and great visit

A good day for golf in Fredericton with the 4 guys, Mac Rama, Laurie and Kodi was Pittsburg. It
was good they could get a summer game in together before Myrtle Beach this year.

The ladies had a great time touring around Gagetown, the Pumpkin Batch and a lovely lunch Paula made (A quiche), delicious. Anitha really enjoyed it.

Will bring you pictures of our adventure tomorrow.

The ladies met the men at golf club for an early supper before heading home.  A good day.

Happy birthday Rama..................

Kate turns 18..........................

flowers from an admirer

birthday kisses from Gilbert

new outfit from Pink....

Happy birthday to our beautiful granddaughter Kate..........

A good reason to get my blog going again after quite a busy week.  Susan and I took Kate to Pizza Delight for her birthday on Saturday afternoon, her dad (who had a birthday the 13th) went to Ottawa
to celebrate with his grandmother on her 90th birthday. The boys went along as well. So Happy birthday Rob and Grandmother Willard.

Grampie was not feeling to good today after a night in the ER, Kidney stones.... it had been 14 years since he had one but he sure was in pain. Never thought I would be first in line at Tim Hortons at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning.

Will celebrate the birthdays with cake next week when family all back in Moncton.

dog sitting days

Well we offered to dog sit a couple of doggies the past two weekends, Gilbert came last week
when his family went to Halifax and this weekend we have Chester who is here while his folks
get married. lol

The boys were here today when Chester arrived which made it easier on Chester as he loves kids.
The little boy next door yelled over to us and said "He only knows French you know" lol  .
Think he will do ok with English for the weekend.

Summer is coming to an end and kiddies back to school here next week. Hope everyone has a great long weekend.

seen this little fellow on a friends facebook, had to share

remembering Terry

For 17 years, Hunter Brothers Farm in Florenceville-Bristol, N.B., has created massive corn field mazes. This year’s is in the form of Terry Fox, to mark the 35th anniversary of his Marathon of Hope. Amazing.  This was in the Globe and Mail.

Actually seen this on facebook and thought it was beautiful, what a lot of work went into this. I
hope Terry's family get to see it.

Went to super last night with Sandy and Anna , we went to house of Lam, it was delicious.  Forgot my camera and missed the best picture, Anna's Kleenex pkg matched her top, Could not believe it. lol

Thought Trent was getting braces off today but they suggested another month.. Trent didn't mind.
