Garret has permit but has to wait to drive golf car lol  oh well next year

The annual golf event happening in Fundy Park again this year.  A day of golf for the boys with Mal lJr and Grampy.

It was a fun day had by all, Garret really wanted to drive golf cart but must be fully licenced to do so.  I
remember taking Susan and Malcolm up to the park way in back and teaching them to drive , seems like
yesterday.  Lots of wonderful memories of fundy park for sure.  If water was low in the well then everyone
loaded in the car for a nice shower at the camp ground, lots of nice hot water, lol  over night guests really
didn't believe us till we were packed into car.  Also up to the park to fill our water jugs, a pipe came out of
the ground for lovely spring water, all gone now.

Well did get a few trips to fundy this summer, had those delicious sticky buns of course from Kelly's bake shop
ate in our old stomping grounds Harbour view market but not quite the same as Sydney's delicious meals or
his mom's delicious coconut cake.

My one wish is to see the cottage again inside one day.  I know it will be quite different but
I still have my memories...

can you find the blue jay on power line?

Its Friday again and time for another blog, only doing on weekends when I have good idea for blog.

Well in August I was ready to get rid of all my plants, they were wilted and really looked terrible but
after a couple of rains and a little fertilizer they perked right up.  Glad I decided to keep them and try
to bring back to life.

I was looking out the kitchen window and a blue jay landed on our deck, stayed for awhile then flew
up to the wires on pole, he was so pretty, wish I had got the picture earlier before he flew off.

Decided to try my luck with rocks, actually I did not paint pictures on them I took napkins apart and put them
on the rocks after painting the rocks a solid color.  Not too bad for a beginner. lol

the Avenir center opens this weekend

Dropped down today to see the new Event center, it is beautiful and great seats no matter where
you might sit.  Hopefully parking will not be a big issue but they are having buses running to
the center from all parts of the city.

Lots of entertainment going on today, lots of free food and friendly people walking about.  Its
worth seeing for sure.

Balloons fly high in Sussex

It was a great day to head off in the early morning to market then off to Sussex to visit my cousins Jim and Jeannette for a great visit.  Jim was recovering from Surgery just a month ago.  Stayed most of the afternoon catching up on all the news of family .

Later Malcolm and I headed for the balloon site and waited patiently for them to say it was ok to lift
off as the wind was still blowing to hard for takeoff, finally at 7 they took off one after another and it
was a beautiful site to watch.  We picked a perfect spot for takeoff and many photographers surrounded us from all over.

Headed home after eight as the sky was showing red through the clouds.  A perfect day.

A day in Fundy

Our trip today brought back many good memories of 13 years of great times in our cottage, one
place I'll always treasure .  This is the cottage as it is today, they certainly did a great job and I would
love to see inside.

pool where my kids spent the summer and learned to swim

Home of Vin Kelly who we bought cottage from.

drift wood on Vin's lawn
After a trip into fundy Park, many tourists around the area.  We did Dixon falls trail

Kate in new driveway..

We walked the beach and did the auto trail stopping to see the old pump left in park where
once stood someone's home.  All the old blueberry fields have all grown over, can't see any in that area anymore.

On the beach they have extended the lobster pound and added a restaurant .

Of course we ended up at Kelly's bake shop..... a no no but had to get a sticky bun, last year I would drive by.  Got to get back on track.

A great weekend.
