heading to Miramichi

Headed up to the Miramichi for a week's stay with Pat and believe me we never stopped. lol
Everyday we did something different and in the process I am sure we each gained a few pounds but
it was delicious.

Pats's grandson Matthew spent a few days with us and he had a few laughs hanging with 2 grandmothers..... he had to wear his new outfit to show us he has when riding his dirt bike and of course trying to fool us that he died his hair....

Kate and Jelle

Kate called asking to use the garage to make a little house for Ginny Pig.... She and her
friend Jelle came over and worked on project for a few hours and I guess the Ginny Pig
was very happy with his new home.

Thinking of my cousins today as they say good bye to their father, grandfather, brother William (Buddy ) Shannon from Gagetown.

Buddy was the oldest of dads Nephews and I was so glad I was able to see them all
last year at this time of year when they gathered together for a family reunion.

Thinking of you all at this sad time. Rest in peace Buddy.

My cousin Jo Ann made a quilt for her daughter and Carolyn shared it on facebook and
I thought it was so beautiful I had to show others her work, its called the Library quilt.

My cousins got all the talent in the family. lol

Garret heads to PEI

They boarded the bus at 7:30 heading to PEI for their lacrosse games and won both games. It was a
long day but they all had a great time.  I imagine there was some sleeping on the way back from the island in the evening.

Malcolm and I headed out early for the markets and really enjoyed both.  We found our blueberry man there from Little River and I had to get another quart of berries to finish off the season.  No
freezing any berries they all went in pies, cakes and just on my cereal or by themselves and I
enjoyed them all.

It was so nice to see some of our  Syrian refugees at the Dieppe market with samples of their foods and people stopping to try them and buy from them.

Had a nice morning out and about......

ice cream time

these are small ice creams at butterfly farm

It was a hot evening so decided to drive out to the butterfly farm for ice cream, one of the best places to go for a cone of ice cream at good prices.

Kate didn't even know I took these pictures of her helping water the flowers, caught her in the moment, lol

Starting to feel fall in the air now in the mornings but that is my favorite time of year.  Garret arrived last night for a sleepover, time is getting down there now before school starts.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Up Up and away

remember having a cupboard similar to this problem

selfie,( need practice) lol

Sitting outside the other night and I looked to the sky to see the Remax balloon going by, I really got a charge out of
it and ran inside for my camera  to snap a picture.

Had a surprise visit from Paula yesterday, we enjoyed a coffee and she was smiling when I went to freezer to get a
rubarb pie for Laurie, he always enjoys it and wonders how to get the rubarb to Myrtle Beach. lol

Malcolm took today off from golf and we ran our usual Thursday errands coming home with Garret for the night.

We watched a few video's of Christmas 2004 he brought over.  Memories

A few funny pictures I found

Favorite spot in summer

Nothing I like more than waking up to sun and having coffee on the patio, Love my swing and
with ipad in hand and cell phone I am ready for the day. lol

The plants are all looking healthy and the tomatoes are coming along, we have about 8 pots like this
growing tomatoes (Mal Jr's project) but Dad keeps them watered. lol

Planning a trip up to Miramichi the 24th for a little holiday with friends.  See you all then for sure.

blueberry season

Well Susan sent me the following ad for blueberries and I have to say they are beautiful.  I called and they were right in Riverview and delivered the box to Susan that evening.  As you can see I was busy baking even though the day was hot and I still have half a box of berries and not much space in freezer to put anything else. lol

I like the wild berries for cooking with but on Gorge road there are the bigger berries being sold
if you prefer them.. 112 Gorge road...

Paula sent me a picture of Laurie down in Nova Scotia working a tournament for golf Canada

hard at it lol

Lemonade stand in neighbourhood

The children were all excited across the street to set up their lemonade stand and they did really good at it.  People  were stopping by to enjoy lemonade or ice tea on a hot day. Isaac was in charge of books.  Sandy was outside with her Daughter Deanna from Calgary for another fun filled week having all the family together for the week.

We dropped over to the cormiers before dropping down to the Victoria craft fair and Mr. Mac decided to be playful and soak me before we head out.  His summer fun I guess.

Victoria Park was nice but not as many exhibitors  as other years, we did enjoy the lemonade there, a lot more expensive that the stand the children had. lol  I didn't realize someone was taking photos behind me as no photos were to be taken inside the park but Victoria Park officials took a few.

Sky last night
