Still Grateful

As I turn on the TV I am hit by the tragedy that continues throughout the world , then I remember
what I am most grateful for:

A home, family coffee and friends. What more can we ask for. Its the little things that can make us
laugh and times with our friends and family that we cherish.  I think of how many families were affected by Orlando tragedy and what they are feeling as there memories go back to the good times they shared.

Think of what your grateful for today::

flowers

A lovely day Saturday to head to the garden center at John's in Riverview, lots of beautiful
flowers and Mr. Mac loves to go see whats new for this year.  At John's you get great ideas
and they are so helpful.

On the way back we stopped at the Cormier's who were busy setting up their pool and gazebo.
Susan loved our choice of flowers and of course dad was more than happy to go get more to
plant for them. lol

Had to share the picture of my plant given to me from my dear friend Anitha a few years back
on Mothers day. Now the plant is as taller than me.....looks so nice Anitha and hope you get one
for your new home.

flying unbrella

Malcolm came into the house asking why I took the umbrella out of table to which I responded, "I never touched it".  We looked everywhere in the yard and thought who would take an umbrella on us.
I looked up to the roof and there it sat, just like a TV satelite dish people have on there homes but no one
sitting under it hide from the  catch the rays of the sun. lol

Now how in the world shall we get it down, Mal afraid of heights and I wasn't climbing no ladder.
Before I knew it he found a new use for his ball retriever and finally got it down. Never know what
you will find when you look around. lol

Sunday brought more rain.....come on summer , grass is green but we want to see sun.

Prayers to those who lost their lives in Orlando, such a tragedy to all those just trying to enjoy an evening.....who would have ever thought one person could take so many lives .

Miramichi day 3

Pat and Linda

Pat, Linda and Pat
Pat, Edna and Pat

Pat, Reed and Pat

Pat, Brenda and Pat

Pat, Pat and June

Planned on leaving on Monday by train but Linda was coming into town and said "why don't you
stay and we will get together and have supper at the Howard Johnston" so didn't take much persuasion to convince me so off we went for a great stir fry.

On Tuesday Edna and Reed had us for a BBQ and it was some good, I know sounds like we
did a lot of eating and Yes we sure did but it was fun... Edna made me a few little shawls to give
a few friends from my chemo group and boy did not take her long to whip them up. Thanks again Edna and Reed, great evening.

The next day we were off to the other side of the River to meet up with June and as we entered Tims met another past employee of the bank Brenda so had to sit down in our familiar place for a chat.
Along came June and few hours later we dropped into the bank to see the few girls we still knew working there who are not far away from retirement and anxiously counting the days.

Could not leave Miramichi with a feed of Esty's so more food and laughter before heading for
home.... A great week.

Thanks to Ron and Jan for the ride to Miramichi.... great to see my cousins again.

Summer in the air

Paula sent me a lovely picture of their tree outside the house and Laurie and Pumpkin posed for
a picture under it.  Love these trees all in bloom....

Then Anitha knowing how much I enjoyed my trip to Ottawa with her during the tulip festival thought I might enjoy seeing some sights from this year and I sure did, flowers are all beautiful and I
now my friend Susanne in Cole Harbour will be saving one of those photos as she loves
anything to do with the Royals.

Birthday weekend for Trent

Trent had a great weekend with friends and family in Saint John celebrating his 16th birthday,
seems like yesterday we were waiting for this little guy to make an entrance into the world and
now I imagine the next step is a drivers permit coming his way.

We had Kate and Gilbert staying with us .  I took Kate to supper at Pizza Delight Saturday after
she was finished work and we both enjoyed our treat.

No beach weather this weekend.......

A little homework time

Jeannie, Mary Jane, Me..Debbie Knox and Irene

My cousin called asking me for some info on our family tree so I was digging in my hope chest for
my genelogy info I have.

I came across an envelope containing a few oldies, the clipping from our wedding...whow. As I continued
looking I found the picture of Mal and I back in high school, me practicing my typing while he talks on phone..
Nice seeing the old kitchen again. Wonder what it looks like now.

Then there is me doing some studying, see who's picture is on TV so guess grade 12.

And then the gang hanging out at Pegan Place, the place to live in our neighbourhood, now I see the houses
boarded up as we drove by last week.

The floor covering is click floor and really looks good, next project is upstairs bathroom floor
