Our Easter Sunday

 well today we gather for easter, will hide A few egg for Jaxson to find, after supper or we know he will be into chocolate and jelly beans. lol  they already got a bit of treat last week  that Caey could have as well.

Eye is still bothering me with a lot of floaters going across my right eye, may have to ave checked tomorrow . a little concernerned about these floaters.  today not paining but light still bothers a lot.

Yesterday had lunch wiyh Mary Jayne and her friend Debbie, a very nice girl. loves to quilt so they were up for a quilt show. Debbie was in seventh heaven.  We had lunch at skipper Jacks a favorite place for all of us. I had my usual bacon wrapped scollops even with a lot of scollops in freezer we must eat up soon.

Kate not feeling well, over with her Mom and Jaxson with her, she needs to rest and like myself not to much computer. I am proud to say I gave up games over lent and never returned to them. I'm reading, a first for me in years but had to stop with eye problem.  I got a book waiting for me called the Teacher by Freda McFadden, great author.

well ham in oven and scollop potato to put together so best get at it...... 

Easter Weekend

 Easter was not held in our house this weekend due to illness, myself with an eye infection, Vero's dad had heart attack and guys full of cold so we will hope for next week to celebrate.  Unfortunately our dear Pope Francis died on Easter Monday.  He was always well liked but lately had many health issues.

This is second week with eye and it is better, drops now are every 4 hours and you can tell when its time for drops for sure.  The prightness bothers me so I havent been out xcept to vote so fr and going to Seniors tomorrow morning. we then stay for lunch.

No pictures today, maybe on weekend.  

Oh Fiona is expecting pups again and our friends Paula and Laurie got a new pup a pomeranian named Amber. They are excited for sure.  

Jaxsons 3rd birthday

 well this weekend was the big birthday party for Jaxson and it was great ill he had to go home, lol he loves being around a crowd.  Casey enjoyed brothers birthday to and the balloons that were next to his high chair.  

I personally had something with my right and going to eye doctor this morning, light bothers it, it runs and pains so best have it checked. 

Was expecting my friend Mary Jayne and Boyd yesterdat for hockey game but that didnt work out so Trent, Garret and Brooklyn went and really enjoyed the game.  Grampy was glad to have them along with him too.  

Next week is Easter and not sure of plans yet but hope we can get together for a ham supper even if its saturday.  We shall see.  Robs cousins coming from Ottawa and they are excited for them to meet the boys for sure.

 

 

A few pictures

 Well I tried to add a few pictures and it worked, no idea what I did but here is picture of house I grew up in Saint John, it recently sold for around 300,000 ,lol dad may have gotten 20,000 back in 1971.  Anyway it was good to see changes to house over the years.

Jaxson was scared to death of this rabbit for first two years of his life but yesterday decided it could come into living room, not we will see what Casey thinks of it when he is over.   A few pictures from my scrapbook from years ago.  That’s me the baby girl. lol

Into April now........

 We are now into april, and the sick are still sick and coughing continues.  Yesterday Susan did come over with Jaxson, it was good to see him.  He has a birthday on the 9th of April  so we will gather next weekend to celebrate.

This past week I went to eye doctor and got my eyes tested and found that my left eye is not good so new lenses .  The right eye is perfect.  

Kate gave me the little scrapbook she did for class about me and she did s great job, wish I could put pictures here of some of it.  Ill figure out one of these days

The grandsons Trent and Garret are putting a fence up for the dogs in Boucouche and doing a great job A friend or two are helping them out.

Casey is loving going to his babysitters two days a week and it is great as will be a big help when he starts daycare when he is 15 months old.  The same daycare Jaxson is at .

Chili being made this weekend, Reed you better get here before Malcolm Jr eats it all up.  lol

Had lunch with Paula and Laurie Friday, we ate at homestead and I had liver again with onions and delicious. Paula had fishcakes, yes it was friday and Paula has fish on fridays like many catholics . you cant beat Homestead for their meals love them...

the weekend

 The weekend has passed and guys still sick.  Malcolm Jr home again today from work. downstairs looks like a mess woith bedding and wash to go on to get rid of germs I hope. But I have not caught it.  

Had several emails from friends lots going on in their lives but its quiet here

Jaxson went to Pappa Norms for a visit , its nice he and casey have contact with his great grandparents, as they only have Susan and Rob as grandparents.  

We had some snow last night but its starting to go, spring is in the air.  we hope..  

Tidal Seniors

 Today Thursday the 27th of March and woke up to a blanket of snow.  It was pretty but roads were not the best.  Rosina called that she figured she would not go to Seniors. 

In the meantime Malcolm Jr got up and said he went to dr yesterday and got antibodics. he felt a bit better so I put a call in to our dr for Malcolm Sr as he has been coughing and coughing over a week now and no  better, he has appt at 11:30 thank goodness.

Called Susan and she is full of cold and said Kate's class is cancelled today so Casey still went to sitters so Kate can do some studying at home.  

I am going to read my book. The Inmate by Freda McFadden, never have I had an interest in books until Mary lent me this authors books and I read 2 completely. The perfect son and the Sarogate, wow great reads.

Well not much else planned today so have a good day everyone.

The weekend

 Well the weekend has past and both Malcolms have been so sick with the cold and Flu, we havent seen our great grandkids in over a week.

Pat Daley came down from Miramichi despite the colds around here with her daughter and family and we went to homestead on Friday night for liver and onions and it was so good. We came back to the house for dessert but to full to eat coconut pie from McBuns bakery so we sat and watched some of the curling on tv and watched Canada come that much closer to winning the title in Korea which by Sunday they did.

Saturday Pat and Malcolm went off to costco and later I went to M and M's with Pat, she loaded up on groceries while in Moncton . Kelly her daughter and family  came down to celebrate her granddaughters birthday with a chance to see the magic show at the Avenir Center, they enjoyed it.

Over in Riverview Susan was making bread and rolls, cinnimon buns and ravoli, I guess it went as fast as she cooked it with her friend Shannon looked some good hope we get a sample. 

Pat left on sunday and we watched some more curling.  I love that sport

 

 

colds hit the house

 Well malcolm Jr was suppose to go on holidays and ended up spending his holidays in bed with a cold and I think the flu, he feels terrible all week and now Malcolm Sr is sick with it to, think I am on the verge but taking pills to try and cut it off.

We got a call yesterday that Casey's babysitter was sick so could we mind im but we have the cold here so Rob took a day off and Susan a day today to look after the little tike.  He is so good to look after.

Pat Daley is arriving tomorrow for the weekend and I did worn her we are a sick house but she says she is coming anyway, think she wants to get out of Miramichi  for a few days .

We will go out for supper tomorrow night  to swiss chalet or across to homestead will be her choice.comr home for dessert and talk the night away.

Malcolm Jr has a birthday

 Well wednesday Malcolm Jr turned 54, whow time flies.  He was working till 8:30 so we waited till today to celebrate with pizza and cake. 

The children are loving these birthdays to help blow out the candles.  

Tomorrow Mary Jayne and Boyd are heading ths way for lunch and hockey game. Its been awhile sinc they were up so excited to spend time with them.  They were going to come my birthday but weather was not good for any travelling.  

This week we were back to Tidal seniors on Thursday, so happy to be back and see everyone.  A guest speaker and he was excellant and a good speaker.  Bev was so pleased to have her caratacts done and see everything so good.  

Kate did good this week at her course at the nursimng home, got 76% on a test and made her happy.Casey is doing well at the babysitters and four little girls certainly keep him entertained.  Jaxson is picked up by grampie and comes to our house, he plays a game with grampie to spot the house before he gets there.Nanny made chocolate chip cookies for him this week which he enjoyed very much. Boy those two boys bring joy to the family.

Busy day for everyone

 The morning  started out with a call from Kate, Scott going on a course for first aid so could they come over.  Trent out of town could Newton come over when Vero goes to work. 

Poor Malcolm was the driver for all getting Costco orders and drive home.  Tonight

sunday and the Briars curling continues

 Its Sunday and Malcolm is making Chili, the kids drop in as Jaxson knew when going pass the house

that it was our house, Malcolm always plays hide and seek with him and he always says theres our house

grampie.  Watching the final games of the Briar curling and Gushue lost, he has been Canada's team for

a long while.  oh well title passes on.  Susan has been busy painting her bedroom and did a great job but

her back is sure aching tonight. Malcolm Jr gone to gym then on to Montana's , now what will he eat there, lol

Call with my doctor the next 2 days, 1 day for blood work and the next day about my sciatic nerve improvement.  A little of relief but still acts up.  Tidal seniors on Thursday will be good to get back and hopefully Mary  Jayne and Boyd arrive Saturday for hockey game.

Casey and Jaxson

 Hi there, well today we are minding Casey, our second great grandchild. He is sleeping right now so  thought I would see if I could still get into my blog to update a bit.  

Its been 5 years since the start of covid and people are still catching it, but this year covid is bad, many peoplke got it including myself on boxing day and i had flu shot.  will be back after I go to ipad to update pictures of Jaxson and Casey on my ipad.

Time does fly doesn't it.  

  

Get togethers with family

 There were a number of times some of the family got together during Covid when finally we could gather together and best described in pictures

Went to Fredericton to meet Scott’s family and cross the walking bridge.

Susan and Rob gave Malcolm a couple of tickets to the world hockey for Christmas, they went to 3 games.

Christmas at Sue and Rob’s, it was so nice to pass on tradition to the family 2022.  Was great to be together, Rob’s parents had breakfast with them and we went at suppertime.  Trent and Vero went Christmas Eve to Vero’s parents and to lunch on Christmas Day then to Sue and Rob’s for supper.

Get together with my Shannon cousins for Cousin Jeans birthday, her 90th… very honoured they always include Malcolm and I. 

Malcolm’s brother George and his wife Mickie visit Moncton to meet Jaxson.

Met up with Chemo Angel Judy Preston and her son and his wife from Russell, Manitoba who came to Moncton for a wedding.  We had spent a week together with other chemo Angels from across Canada about 10 years ago.

Met up with my cousin Brenda and Winston on a mystery tour which went to Antigonish, NS
