Strawberry picking

One never knows what you will find in a strawberry field, well Nirupama and Sophia came across this robins nest and there were 4 eggs sitting in the nest, no sign of Mom around..

Garret went home today after 2 days at Nanny and Grampie's, we enjoyed his company.

Eye appointment today, still have floaters but no tears etc, quite a difference in right eye so need to change lense. going back again next week for another test in case drops today make another change.  .


Had a nice visit from my cousin Kelli yesterday, it was great catching up on the family news  over coffee.

Well talk about your Throwback Thursday, yesterday Jennifer, (seen here with Susan when they were young) sent these pictures to Susan.  When I seen them I had to put them on for my throwback Thursday. When we lived in Moncton years ago Susan hung around with Jenn, Allison and Natalie all the time and I hung with their Mom's Marilyn, Bernice and Betty Ann.

Even though we only meet from time to time we certainly enjoyed many great coffee's and of course a few  good card games over the years, 13 years to be exact....... The girls also still remain good friends.

Garret turned 14 on Saturday, being just after Canada day he gets to celebrate with family and friends 2 days in a
row. lol

Got himself some new sneakers which he always likes to get and money for his vacation to Ottawa in a few weeks
for lacrosse tournament.

It was a great Canada Day, Malcolm and Bill enjoyed a golf game while Sandy and I enjoyed a
coffee.

Got in the car to head to Riverview, flat tire..........Bill to the rescue and in no time we were back up
and on the road.

Sue and Rob had  a great day planned for adults and the young folks, can't say kids anymore, lol and a lovely BBQ.....we ate, went swimming and even played a few games which were fun especially when young and old have so much fun together.

Anitha and Arathi sent me the picture last night from Ottawa of the cookies made in honor of Canada day they bought at the market yesterday..... I remember being at that bakery a few years ago on my visit to Ottawa and enjoyed our time at the market.

Hope to get down town today and see some festivities and drop in on the Cormier Pool party...

Well Jimmy Bigney I finally got a bike, lol  As a kid I always borrowed Jimmy"s bike because my parents didn't want me riding around the southend of Saint John but little did they know I was all over the place thanks to my friend Jimmy. 

I found this gem in Myrtle Beach and had to have it.....really caught my eye.

Next picture is the hotel where my parents worked and Mal bought it for me, after we got home from Saint John with the art work he bought in the market from a local crafts person we realized I already had the picture done in black and white we had given to Mom...oh well one for each of them.

Received these beautiful roses this week and they are so pretty....A nice surprise.

The handyman at it again

 

Had to snap this picture of the handyman and his helper putting up the new light fixture, it

was a laugh among a few of us who had seen the original fixture when he installed it bit

finally with a little patience and determination its up and looks good. 

 

 

 

Great visit with Arathi, she seems to have had a good time. Safe travels home.

Our little Helper comes to visit

We were sitting outside enjoying a nice evening when a little voice called out to Mac....from

across the yard.  Maika and our new little neighbour Zack were playing with the dogs so

Mac had to get a treat for the doggie's but he had to have a treat for the little ones to.

He asked them if them liked strawberry shortcake but they were not impressed then

Maika says "you always have those rockets", lol  meaning popsicles...... she

never forgets.

Over comes Mom and we have a great time enjoying the children who decided to help Mr Mac

water the flowers and tell us about her adventures at the princess party she went to at the capital

theatre, and of course show us her tattoo.

Dad came over for a beer, Arathi arrived for a visit for a few days so a fun evening.
