Barefoot

we stay right behind the towers...

We had a nice walk around Barefoot, a short distance from where we stay.  Trees are in bloom a bit early but weather has been good.  Now the pollen starts, which covers the cars.

Mal having a few days break from golf before the rest of gang arrive by Thursday.

This is way barefoot will look by next year.

Sorry I have not been on much but not doing as many pictures as in past. Have a grandson's grad
scrapbook to work on this year and my project life book.

visit withMiramichi friends

Allie, Mac and Greta

the girls

the beach

Good. morning, a beautiful day out there, maybe a little time at the pool.

We had a lovely evening with our neighbours from Miramichi . Greta and Allie served a lovely
supper to us and we spent a great evening with them.  Remembering some great neighbourhood
fun and all the changes to the area now.

A very sad day in Moncton and all over as we remember a special young lady Becca who
came into our hearts this past year and changed the way many look at life.  RIP Becca you
will be remembered by all.

Callaghans

Yesterday Liz Paula and I went on a girls day of the trip to Calabash and visited a store I don't recall
ever being to, the Christmas room is massive, I definately will be back there this year. So Debbie and Lucy you guys have to come.  Another craft store followed, not as big but interesting.

Then we headed to The Blueberry Grill for lunch, oh was it good.  The restaurant opened in January and is very popular.

And no we did not eat these meals, lol  there blueberry muffins are delicious.

and the adventure continued.........a few more shops, a few more parcels.

A beautiful Life, Becca told me to

I woke up February 18th to the sad news from Mal that Becca had passed away, even though
we only met her once at the hockey game we felt a strong connection to this young girl who
wanted the world to show kindness to all.

Becca's parents spent this past year sharing their daughters love with the world and
giving Becca all her final dreams .

Rest in peace dear Becca.......thank you for being part of our world this past year and showing
us the way...

Golf course today

Mac was like a kid in the candy store heading off to golf course this am with Gary, Liz Paula and himself.  Laurie took a day to relax and I got a few errands done, finally feel like hitting the stores.

Anitha's surgery went well, she is in recovery now and all was successful. Shall be in hospital
for a week or so but a very good heart center like Saint John.

Mal thought a few of his golfing buddies would like to see course before they head out.  So Rick and Kirk course is waiting for you.

Greg Normans

we had a coupon for greg Normans so off we all went to lunch today which means no supper after
such a meal.

We had to try on those hats to show off the latest Greg Norman style.

I was being good for the most part with Quich and salad.  did get hungry later for
graham crackers and cheese and ate a few more than I should have.

Anxious to hear how Anitha's surgery went and she came through it good, further   word today
from the girls.

We were sad to hear of a fellow workers passing this AM, thinking of you Mary H and remembering
a few great laughs we all shared, Mary never wanted to miss a get together if she was able to make it.
RIP Mary.....

a week in review

well let the game begin.  We got the game out and the girls had a good start but again the men came
on strong and won for the evening.

Just how close Paula came to another hold in one at the golf course.   Weather has not
cooperated too good for Mal to get out.  Then we both came down with cold and cellulitis, I ended
up at clinic and 3 prescriptions.  Got them filled at Costco and really saved on price.

Paula and Liz golfing together....

My birthday supper.................

We decided to go to supper at Longhorn for my birthday, it was delicious.  Laurie
told the waiter it was my birthday so he brought me a ice cream sundae for dessert and a few
extra spoons............. never thought of a picture till we came out.

ITS Sunday now, weather isn't great but a bit warmer.  Just doing a few pictures here and there
just not into it as in previous years.

breakfast at the plantation

my breakfast

paula's breakfast

well this morning we got a call from Paula asking us to go to breakfast at the Plantation house.  Sure.

We decided to go with house special, breakfast for $5.00 if you had a drink so all of us drinking coffee and
water we had a great breakfast in a very friendly restaurant.

I did have hash browns but gave to Laurie even though it looked tempting.  After breakfast it was off to clinic for me
AS these shingles didn't seem to be clearing up, got right in ended up with 3 prescriptions, one only to fill if necessary but
doctor really felt it was a staff infection and I got a cream and pills.  He did give me prescription for shingles in case I didn't
clear up good with these.

We headed to Khol's later where I got a few good deals on t shirts, think in a week I am already up to 5 tops.  But at 5.00
a shirt I had to get for sure. lol..  Yes Pat got you a couple. lol  Then I earned a 10.00 gift to use between Feb 9-14th.... because I spent 50.00.  lol

We have a new great niece

Let me introduce to our new great niece Tessa Joan MacKenney, she was born January 28th the day
we left Moncton for Myrtle beach.

She looks so much like her father Colin.  Proud grandparents for the first time are George and Mickie MacKenney...I am sure they are very excited..

Looking forward to meeting her in April..

arrived in Myrtle beach

Arrived in Myrtle beach and really have not had great weather yet but love our condo, its just
perfect on the 1st floor so easy access to go in with parcels and no stairs.

A lovely patio outside all screened in and overlooks  a pond.

We already put in for it again next year.
