visit with Gary and Vivian

 

It was a evening getting together with Gary and Vivian Steeves from Moncton for a few laughs at

Anitha and Rama's.  They are down for a month and staying right on the beach.

 

Today is sun and I sure hope it stays that way for awhile.  Anitha and Rama are expecting their brother in law Kodi who visits every year to golf  and spend time with everyone away from his work as a physician in Pittsburg.

 

Waiting for word on our friend Brian in Ontario.... Hope your feeling better.

  

Sunny day

Hi there, late getting to a blog today went out early this AM for breakfast after golfers left for the course.

We found this packet of buttermilk pancake mix for 55 cents and $1.00 for syrup and enjoy that at home a few mornings with blueberries. Makes 4 good size pancakes.

Took a picture from our balcony, grass still not green out there but coming. 

Invited to Anitha ad Rama's tonight, Gary and Vivian Steeves are coming over to visit them, time is going so fast that before you know it a lot of people will be heading home.

Rick and Lucy headed to Charleston to pick up their family flying in there.

Supper with the gang

 

Supper  was great with Rick and Lucy, Paula and Laurie and we sure had some laughs to boot.

Its funny how so many of us get together down in Myrtle Beach but never seem to have the time at home.

 

Another dull day yesterday weather wise but hopefully sun will shine and the golfers will be able to enjoy the barefoot course till end of month. 

 

Unfortunately bad health has come for some down here meaning back to Canada but hopefully they soon will be well and be able to return next year...

 

Hope our friend Brian in Ontario gets well soon and out of hospital.  Thinking of you.  

 

The second picture here was taken trying out the timer, lol  we didn't think to move a couple of chairs out of the way.....  It was a first so lesson learned.. 

it was a good St Patricks day

Started a quiet morning then the doorbell rang and I ran into bedroom shoutingI to Malcolm that someone at the door.  I dressed quickly when I heard Paula and Laurie's voice and when I opened the door I laughed my head off when both of them appeared with their green hair and shirts all ready for
breakfast at Spring Garden down the road.

Before long I was having spray put into my hair and put on my green beads to celebrate the day, we got a lot of laughs and comments throughout town, Mr. Mac was not brave enough and kept saying he was Scottish. lol

Dropped into Anitha and Rama's for coffee in afternoon. I knew Anitha would be wearin her green but Rama, shame on you. lol

Kept in touch with Susan back home, she was terribly sick in Halifax, figures food poisioning and someone drove her car home for her, this afternoon she was beginning to feel a bit better.

Happy St Patricks Day

 

Every year North Myrtle Beach have a St. Patrick's day parade and festival, this

year was the 26th.....  Didn't get down to it, but they showed it on  TV which was great.

St Patricks is big here..

 

Got together with friends this weekend, poor Anitha still sick with cold. All

her company left for home.

 

Wishing my friend Pat a happy birthday today and a happy St Patricks, now you

know why they named her Patricia...lol

Am I being heartless here with most 0f you getting snow?  Sorry but had to show you the lovely pool areas behind Anitha and Rama's condo, our pool not open yet for our area.  No problem I can use their pool.

Also a regular sight on the beach are the seagulls who hover down when they think they smell food and boy they land right in front of you and I don't think these gals had anything but some chips.

Paula was due back last night but last word we got is she is storm stayed in Toronto, oh boy she will be upset all by herself in the big city.  I have been waiting to hear from her on ipod.....

Update: Paula spent the night in airport in Charlotte  arriving in Myrtle Beach this AM. Long long day.

Cold back full outbreak and now Anitha has it..... its been ages since I had a cold darn.

Taking a long weekend.. no photos tomorrow.

Applebees

Rick and Lucy..

 

It was a great evening at Applebees when we went along with Lucy and Rick for supper.

 

We chose a good night as it was Bingo night and even though we didn't play along it was fun to listen to music from the 60's and 70's and watch the young people form the train around the restaurant, they tried to get Rick up put he didn't go that far. lol

 

Golf this morning, Rama didn't go as its Nirupama's last day here and they went out touring around early before her flight after supper.

 

Spoke to Paula on facetime, she is all hooked up and surprised me calling from New Brunswick.

To our son Malcolm have a great day, hope you don't have to shovel your way out today!!

off to the beach....

It was a beautiful day and a chance to hit the beach.  On my way I seen Anitha and Haritha walking, they also were heading to beach so off everyone went.

Aaron went along for a walk with everyone and came back holding a bottle with a message in it, a little hard to read but whoever had written the letter sure could print and draw.  Aaron planned on adding to the message and sending it back to the ocean.

Picked the guys up from golf, decided to go to supper with Rick and Lucy to Applebees...... Laurie decided to stay home and wait for Paula to call.

Golf early in the morning for Wednesday, Rama decided to take a day off..

great weekend

The weekend brought sun after a long week of rain.... Friday night there was a fish fry at the  Catholic church but no one wanted to go but me so all I got were pictures of the church. lol after a burger at 5 Guys......

Paula and I do intend to go to mass here when she returns from New Brunswick, I think there even is a senior complex on other side of the church.

Nirupama arrived Friday night and Haritha yesterday with her family making Anitha and Rama's weekend extra special.

Sun shining today so may be a day for the beach.... we will see

TGIF- where is that sun

I sure hope the weekend brings sun because this week has been miserable  with rain , rain and more rain.  The golf courses will not be in very good site for a few days BUT calling for sun all next week.

Yesterday Mr Mac was busy in kitchen making a pot of chili, I think he forgot where he was and went a little overboard on the amount he made. 

Laurie, Anitha and Rama came down and helped us make a dent in the pot.  Paula landed safely in New Brunswick and had supper waiting by friends Cliff and Thelma.

Good news Barb got her luggage delivered yesterday at 4 pm... all 3 suitcases were there.  My friend Edna coming to Moncton on Sunday and bringing Susan's bag down to her.  Thanks again Edna...

Another cloudy cold day and the golfers are going a little crazy especially Mac who really does not enjoy looking for bargains in the woman's department. lol

Just showing a few great buys I made earlier , during the 70% sales that ended February but may be another one before we leave.  Sad story is   Barb's luggage still has not been delivered and we wonder if it will be, our grandkids are looking for their under armour hoodies she was delivering but I am not sure they will ever see them.... a waiting game.

Paula left this am for New Brunswick.... hope she has a good trip.
 

spa day

Pumpkie had a spa day, lol   Looking some pretty there Pumpkin with your flower in your hair.

Barb got away to Moncton but not without delay, her flight from Charlotte was late so therefore they had to route her through Toronto and of course luggage did not arrive with her.  Susan went to airport at 1 in the morning to get parcel I sent but they still have no parcels and no luggage. What a nightmare.

Weather is not nice at all, rained through the night and yesterday was cold as could be.  Everyone stayed.  Hopefully weekend will improve for everyone.

Plantation House

 

Tuesday March 4th, my Mom and Dad's Anniversary.

 

Got Barb off to Airport, long day for her, she did not get into Moncton till 11:00 pm and left

here at 12:30.  Susan meeting Plane to pick up a parcel Barb is taking to her for me.

 

Paula and Laurie and ourselves had breakfast at Plantation House , very nice spot with senior rates. lol.... 

 

We made our reservation for next year with lady who owns condo, she gave it to us for same rate as this year.  Seems like a nice lady.  She also said all calls to Canada are included in rental which is nice.

Cosy Carolina

 

Wel we are all moved in to Carolina Cosy and boy it is cosy... Even though its laid out the

same as other condo's we have rented before we feel this is definitely home away from home.

 

Barb leaves today and we are going to miss her and her whitty personality, see is a great

lady and a good friend to all of us.

 

All the golfers have arrived, Rick and Lucy and Kirk and Debbie and the golfers are meeting at

the course this AM.....while Anitha and I are off to airport.  Sunny out there even though it called for some rain.

 

Congratulations to Tom and Theresa on birth of their son this weekend  and Happy birthday to our friend Edna...... Have a great day.
