Summer in the air

Paula sent me a lovely picture of their tree outside the house and Laurie and Pumpkin posed for

a picture under it.  Love these trees all in bloom....

Then Anitha knowing how much I enjoyed my trip to Ottawa with her during the tulip festival thought I might enjoy seeing some sights from this year and I sure did, flowers are all beautiful and I

now my friend Susanne in Cole Harbour will be saving one of those photos as she loves

anything to do with the Royals.

Birthday weekend for Trent

Trent had a great weekend with friends and family in Saint John celebrating his 16th birthday,

seems like yesterday we were waiting for this little guy to make an entrance into the world and

now I imagine the next step is a drivers permit coming his way.

We had Kate and Gilbert staying with us .  I took Kate to supper at Pizza Delight Saturday after

she was finished work and we both enjoyed our treat.

No beach weather this weekend.......

A little homework time

My cousin called asking me for some info on our family tree so I was digging in my hope chest for
my genelogy info I have. 

I came across an envelope containing a few oldies, the clipping from our wedding...whow. As I continued
looking I found the picture of Mal and I back in high school, me practicing my typing while he talks on phone..
Nice seeing the old kitchen again. Wonder what it looks like now.

Then there is me doing some studying, see who's picture is on TV so guess grade 12.

And then the gang hanging out at Pegan Place, the place to live in our neighbourhood, now I see the houses
boarded up as we drove by last week.

Bathroom reno

We finally got renovations on Malcolm Jr's bathroom, new toilet, sink and floor covering.

Our friend and neighbour was here at 8:30 on the dot and he and Mal worked on the project

all day till it was done.  Great job guys and so so much appreciated.

The floor covering is click floor and really looks good, next project is upstairs bathroom floor

using same material.

Had the dryer on top of washer but decided to change back to side by side, not so much reaching

for me.....lol 

Got my new swing up and running, lol  My mothers day gift.  I love a swing and have had

one the past 20 years.....

Hello again

Mal, Me,Ed and Bernie

 

Yes I know its been awhile but since we returned from Myrtle Beach we have been

busy busy.

 

This weekend it was great to have cousin Ed from Renous visiting with his son Bernie from

Calgary. Shared lots of memories of family and stories of great times...

 

Made several trips to Saint John to say good-bye to uncle Donnie.  Father Breen spoke of

Donnie as if he seen him everyday and we were so pleased with his words for a wonderful uncle.

 

 

 

Working on the house and yard work seems never ending.......... wanted to say

hello we are back and will try and come on my blog to say hi from time to time.
