great visit with Cousins Claire and Pat
All I can say is it was the high light of the week to have my cousins visit from Seattle Wash.
We spent 2 1/2 days sharing pictures, laughter and great memories of years gone by. The family all
came over for a visit and a salmon supper followed by a lacrosse game which TRENT was playing.
Gave them a farewell like they have never had before when I tripped on walkway , landed on grass and rolled down onto the driveway the end result two fractures to my right arm. 6 hrs in outpatients,
cast, cuts and bruises and now left handed for 6 weeks so unfortunately another end to my blog for the time being. My male nurse can only handle so many duties.
Picture of Mr Mac painting bedroom and the end results, a little bird sat for nearly an hour on patio post.
Thank you everyone for phone calls today, e-mails and facebook get wells and visits ,I sure have great friends and family.
Bye for now.....

Throw Back Thursday
Still having problems adding pictures from bigger computer even though I
removed google chrome so I took picture with ipod off big computer, wasn't going to hunt for those pictures again. lol
Malcolm working hard at painting our bedroom, going to look really nice. We have had new curtains for awhile and finally getting room finished up, project before golf starts.
Ok well here are a few oldies from my birthday party days and I know you gals will see them and be
surprised to see yourselves here. First picture is Mary Jayne Lowe, myself and Angela Page and Patsy O'Brien..........Unfortunately Angela passed away 2 years ago but our birthdays were 1 day apart and our birthday parties 1 week apart. She was a great friend . Mary Jayne and I were best buddies, she was my maid of honour and I was in her wedding, years may go by but we always surprise each other from time to time. Patsy O'Brien and I were friends as were our parents, had not seen Patsy since back in 73....when we both lived in Dartmouth, now we have found each other on facebook.this past year...
Next picture is another birthday with myself, Debbie Knox and the 3 O'Brien sisters.
Next picture is Malcolm and I at our confirmation , both at different churches, 1 year apart. lol
Susan's confirmation (little difference in dress style)
Looked for Malcolm Jr's picture but just to many to go through....Where will all these pictures end up I wonder....

Heaven Is For Real - Official Trailer - In Theaters Easter 2014
When I seen where Edna had got to see this movie I was so thrilled to hear it was now out in Theatres as I didn't get to see it while in Myrtle Beach.
Trent had asked us for the book last year and after we asked his parents if he could read it they agreed it was ok , we know how very lucky we are he is with us after his accident in 2007.
Trent did an interview for subway recently raising awareness to the importance the IWK has played in his life these past 7 years, he goes there 3 times a year for checkups and surgery (as needed) and we are so lucky to have this hospital for our children.
Have a great day...

lacrosse
Trent no 19 |
Went to our first Lacrosse game for Trent since we returned, they won 6-1 against Sackville.
Garret and Kate were at the game, so I snapped a few pictures of them enjoying a treat from Tims, Kate was getting annoyed in last picture that I had the camera on her. lol Rob was in the bench working the game and Susan was flying around as manager for the team, she stopped by once in awhile for a sip of her coffee.
This weekend lacrosse tournament for Garret was Saint John and Trent and Gilbert here with us. Garret's team did very well the first day but lost in the semi finals... It was great weekend for all.
Susan and Rob took Garret to see Uncle Don while in Saint John, he was surprised to see them as we didn't let on they were coming.

a great mothers day
Well I hope you all had a lovely Mothers Day. I had a nice weekend with a surprise visit on Saturday from Mom's Caregiver Kathleen who I have not seen in years. Kathleen came to Moncton from Miramichi with a friend Gloria to visit Gloria's Mom so Kathleen asked if they could stop in, and I am so happy they did.
Trent and Gilbert were here for the weekend while Sue, Rob Garret and Kate in saint John for a Lacrosse game. On Sunday morning I received lots of nice cards from the family and Malcolm jr took me to early supper at House of Lam, of course Malcolm Sr and Trent came along too. The had a buffet all day long for Mothers Day and it was so good.
If you have never watched the series Downton Abbey than I highly recommend it . My friend Sandy mentioned to me how good it was so I took a look and you know how the rest of my weekend went, lol its like a good book, can't put it down. haha.......... The first 3 series are on Netflix You will love it, I am sure.

Costco pictures
Well one thing they have in the USA that we do not have yet is collage photos from Costco starting at 1.99 a sheet and up. I love these photos as perfect size for my smash books which I do each year and
will be putting each of these pictures in a book.
Malcolm has been digging in the basement for items for Garret's garage sale in Saint John around May 23rd. The Provincial Lacrosse team are raising money for their trip out west in August and need to raise a lot of money so fund raisers are a must.
A recipe for cookies I am anxious to try
Laura Bush's Texas Governor's Mansion Cowboy Cookies Yield: enough cookies to feed most of the Lone Star State
3 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp baking soda
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
2 cups sweetened coconut flakes
2 cups chopped pecans (8 oz) (optional - I omit)
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
In a second bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until smooth. Add the sugar and brown sugar and beat for another 2 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla.
Stir in the flour mixture, blending until just combined. Add the chips, oats, coconut, and pecans and stir until fully incorporated.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto an ungreased baking sheet, making sure to allow plenty of room between cookies. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 1-2 minutes before placing on a cooling rack.

Under Armour
Well the kids were glad to see us back with their goodies from Under Armour store in Myrtle Beach, they quickly had the hoodies on within minutes. Kate was all smiles with her goodies .
It was a busy weekend , filling freezer back up, cleaning fridge and filling it back and watching Gilbert and Kate for the weekend. Kept us on our toes for sure.
Went to the new Walmart and Marshalls, whow very nice addition to Moncton and I found prices in
Marshalls close to the USA prices by the time you add exchange. I can see i'll visit quite often. lol
Its clean up week so getting things gathered for it, the trucks are coming around to see what treasures people can find that others don't need any longer.
Have a good day.....
