Golf and dinner.....

A relaxing day of golf and dinner at Applebees, what more could you ask for... 2/25.00

Weather has been so beautiful today and Anitha and Barb brought  Rama up for golf and the ladies hit the road to enjoy the day before Barb flys out on Monday.  Had some real good laughs and it was a good time.

We are moving tomorrow into our condo, got in a day early so will be busy picking up keys and moving stuff in , picking up groceries and then on Saturday giving Anitha and Rama a hand moving into their condo.

Barb has enjoyed her week in Myrtle Beach and even though she is packed for home she hasn't stop shopping. lol

Today is a rain day and we are going down to the office to get our key for our condo, we move on Saturday.  Also expect 2 other couples to arrive from Moncton who are anxious to start golfing right away as soon as they are registered.

Marg if your reading this please send your new e-mail, I only have your old one and have written you before realizing I have old one.

The golf club

 

It was a beautiful day so decided to have the buffet breakfast at the golf club just down

the road .

 

The gang golfed I had the day to myself, so I finished getting my purchases organized and

pick the last of the items for my friend.

 

Talked to the kids on Skype showing them a couple of items I purchased.  Trent said "Who are

those shorts for", I said you....... He replied "There pink!!!!", lol  On the computer if an item is

red it shows pink.  I don't know if he believes me or not but could not pass a pair of under armour shorts for 5.49.  Don't think i'll find that bargain for Garret's.

 

Well Anitha and Barb heading this way today ,  so off to find a few bargains.

Olympics 2014

It was a beautiful ending to the games and the closing will be hard to beat, according to the newspaper this AM the cost for the games was 51 Billion.

Canada came in 3rd with medals and we can be so proud of our Olympicians , the hockey game yesterday was unbelievable and I imagine watched by every Canadian.

Anitha Rama and Barb arrived in the morning , Rama all ready for his golf game and the ladies ready for shopping, Barb looking for a second suitcase. lol......

Today is relaxing day...... catching up on my soap..Young and the Restless.

Well we have been enjoying the Olympics and so proud of the metals our Canadians  have

won.  We were unable to watch the hockey game from here but sure heard all about our ladies

success and waiting to hear the men's game.  Have Susan taping the game for sure.

 

The golfers have been busy at the golf course, up till today when the rain hit us hard this afternoon., just enough to make it cart path only tomorrow so they will wait for Monday.

 

It was a trying time this am when I thought we were looking our ability to add pictures to the blog but Laurie  saved the day.....  see you Monday. 

A visit to Gail and Dicks

 

We had a visit with Gail and Dick for coffee and what a beautiful condo they have, perfect for

Gail.  She is so happy with her condo which must have about 20 remotes.. Dick was fast to

book for next year .

 

The golf game was  on and Rama was so happy to join them.  Paula was happy when she parred all the par 3's and a birdie on 1. We celebrated by going to Ryans and celebrating my free birthday supper. 

 

Took Barb out for some good old shopping and again she did very well.  She came to supper also and

then we went back to Rama and Anitha's.

They are cute as a button and I was sure surprised when someone put one in my hand,

He or she felt right at home when within a second he was finding a nice warm place to nest,

down the front of my shirt ......OMG, all you could see were the little feet. lol

 

First golf game being played for 18 holes yesterday, Rama is signing up to start today.

I headed off with Anitha and her friend Barb and Rama for lunch and a little looking around.

Sun is shining and temperatures warming up each day.  Finally got in touch with a few friends

through my Apple ipod so nice to chat with them anywhere there is WiFi.

 

Today I am heading to other end of town with the girls while they golf,  Heading to

Ryan's for my free birthday supper.

Well  I guess you all got a dose of snow in the Atlantic provinces and are storm stayed

while we finally got sun shining in Myrtle Beach.

 

Last night we played a game of sequence, and I had to show the final score 10-0 for the girls...now

that is unbelievable and certainly has to be mentioned.

 

We had a great Valentines day, the gals took the guys to chick fil-a for lunch, and it was their

choice but they saved us money. lol

 

Anitha, Rama and Barb arrived on Saturday evening, it had been a long long day for them.

They are staying about 10 miles from us for next 2 weeks and then we will all be in our own condo's.

 

Great news from home our second grandson Garret made the Provincial team for lacrosse, hopefully all goes well for the team, poor Trent made the Provincial team but after 8 kids dropped out it folded.

Happy Valentines day

 

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day to everyone.  Woke this morning to sun, OMG we knew

it had to come out. lol

 

Laurie is making us pancakes with blueberries in them, and only mistake he made is he didn't shape like a heart, haha...... delicious.

 

Started my shopping yesterday and got myself a nice purse, sweater and my stretch pants..... all at great prices and my 15% coupon someone gave me. 

 

Today the ladies are taking the men out to Olive Garden for lunch ..... Have a great day.

Ice in Myrtle Beach......

We woke this morning to rain and ice , but better than snow.

Well its been another interesting year getting my trac phone set up, tried all day yesterday to get it
and its ready to go except I don't have a phone number, just can't believe this happened. 

So last word last night was give it 4 hours and we will have you fixed up, right well no phone

number this  AM so Paula took over calling them, see the finger going, that's Paula....... now they

say  I have a virus in phone and now will be 24 hours.. hope they give me back my minutes I lost.

She looks happy before  hanging up.

arrived in Myrtle Beach

It was a long long day yesterday but we finally arrived at 6:30 in the evening, only stopped once for a quick lunch and gas which Mac was impressed with the prices at the pumps..

We came off the road on Sunday night in Carisle PA at 3:30 in afternoon when snow started blowing but after seeing 5 vehicles off the road and another again within minutes we realized it was time to get off.  We checked int a hotel we were very familiar with and enjoyed a relaxing day, swimming in pool , talking with others who had also been on highway .  The gal behind the desk kept making fresh cookies and the fruit bowl came in handy for supper as we were not going out. lol.. 

One young couple checked in and I felt so bad for them, they were involved in one of the accidents, two college students on their way to New York for courses and got caught in behind a semi and had to go into guard rail  to avoid hitting him and another car slid into them. 

Arrived safe and sound and today its raining but that's ok, got lots to do and visit some friends later in day.

Feb birthdays with the Moncton gang..

Every February for many years The girls with February birthdays have gathered for breakfast and a good chat....... Bev, Rosina and Sheila were there with me and we missed not having a couple of other gals who use to be pat of the group.

We share birthday cards and can always count on Sheila to make us some beautiful homemade cards which I snapped a picture of, she is so thoughtful to put time into this project.

This year we went to Cora's....... only my second time there but not my last, my breakfast was delicious as seen in the picture above.  It was called a skillet omelet and I ate every bite.

Plans are to leave in morning for Myrtle beach so probably will not be posting for a few days unless I put my camera to use somewhere, doubt Mac will stop that long.

Had a surprise visit from Pat  and her grandson Nikk in Miramichi, Had lunch with Dave and Anna and she gave me muffins and cookies for the road.... thank you Anne and Dave.

transportation to Brunch.....

Got up early for church and decided to go to Wharf Inn (as I know it as) for brunch.  When we pulled up we seen the parking lot was not full of cars but snowmobiles  and it was quite the sight to see.  Watched them drive away on the ice and wondered how they could travel over the ice without giving it a second thought.......Looks like a lot of fun..

When Edna arrived at the pot luck she brought a boiled icing chocolate cake for my birthday and it was so good, came from the Goodie shop, Helen made a cheese cake with a raspberry  topping which I thought was cranberries for my turkey....only me...haha.

Edna also brought me a card which I posted a picture of here, unfortunately I closed my eyes in first picture.

 

Train ride was great going back home but unfortunately Miramichi may lose this means of transportation....I hope not.  Took the bus up to Miramichi, it cost 10.00 more but it will continue if people are using it.

Hello again-------I am back

Well after trying and trying to get my old blog back it is gone....... so as life goes on so does the blog.
I took computer in to be cleaned by the experts as I do every year before heading to Myrtle Beach and the fellow tried his best to restore blog but no luck BUT... he was able to fix the problem of adding pictures to my blog and the problem was Google Chrome which was added to my computer by Google....... he removed it and now pictures will add without a problem.

The reason my old blog got removed is totally my fault, fooling with buttons before taking to shop so cannot blame anyone for that. 

Today is suppose to be a stormy day, so far at noon nothing is happening but sure it will come.  We decided it was a good day to dig out suitcases and start packing up for Myrtle Beach. 

I spent 3 great days in Miramichi and it was great to see friends and have a pot luck at Pat's house.  My Friend Edna had me for supper when I arrived and sure enjoyed her home cooking.  So first blog of 2014 will be to share my dear friends in Miramichi........

I guess we dug into desserts so fast I didn't get a picture.....lol
