bike

Pat's new bike

Royal Hotel

Well Jimmy Bigney I finally got a bike, lol  As a kid I always borrowed Jimmy"s bike because my parents didn't want me riding around the southend of Saint John but little did they know I was all over the place thanks to my friend Jimmy.

I found this gem in Myrtle Beach and had to have it.....really caught my eye.

Next picture is the hotel where my parents worked and Mal bought it for me, after we got home from Saint John with the art work he bought in the market from a local crafts person we realized I already had the picture done in black and white we had given to Mom...oh well one for each of them.

Received these beautiful roses this week and they are so pretty....A nice surprise.

The handyman at it again

Had to snap this picture of the handyman and his helper putting up the new light fixture, it
was a laugh among a few of us who had seen the original fixture when he installed it bit
finally with a little patience and determination its up and looks good.

Great visit with Arathi, she seems to have had a good time. Safe travels home.

Happy birthday Uncle Donnie.....thinking of you today.

Our little Helper comes to visit

We were sitting outside enjoying a nice evening when a little voice called out to Mac....from
across the yard.  Maika and our new little neighbour Zack were playing with the dogs so
Mac had to get a treat for the doggie's but he had to have a treat for the little ones to.
He asked them if them liked strawberry shortcake but they were not impressed then
Maika says "you always have those rockets", lol  meaning popsicles...... she
never forgets.

Over comes Mom and we have a great time enjoying the children who decided to help Mr Mac
water the flowers and tell us about her adventures at the princess party she went to at the capital
theatre, and of course show us her tattoo.

Dad came over for a beer, Arathi arrived for a visit for a few days so a fun evening.

The weekend....

Weather was beautiful and so was the trip to Saint John with the boys for their lacrosse tournament.
It was nice to see Malcolm's brother drop in to see the boys play and cousin Erin came for the evening game at the Lord Beaverbrook Arena, we had not been in this building in 50 years I am sure. lol.

Both boys won their afternoon games and played very well, Trent got a lift back to Moncton with a
buddy so Garret, George Malcolm and I went to Tims for a coffee before heading up to Uncle Donnie's for a few items.  Snapped  a picture of them outside the house.

I got a visit into see my aunt Marg at the hospital while Malcolm took Garret for a bite at subway, his favorite take out, they brought me back a sandwich which was delicious by 6:30, Off to evening game, they loss but Garret got player of the game and what did he get for a gift, a gift certificate to subway for a sub. lol It was nice of Erin to come see the game , he does try to catch a game when they are in town.

Home at 12:30, a long day but a fun day too...

Happy birthday George..................

Festival in Moncton

Add caption

A festival was held in Moncton on the weekend, we drove down to see a few of the paintings but
they were all over town so didn't see many.

Looks like someone decorated a tree with afghans, I thought it was painted from a distance. lol

Now this is a beautiful painting found on Robinson Street, beautiful job. Really a work of art.

These are a pair of stairs I found on the internet, thought it was a lot of work getting into such a
small area.

Fathers Day

Fathers day and Sue, Garret and Kate came for a BBQ, Trent was off to Saint John  with his dad for
a lacrosse practice before his tournament this weekend.  Sent supper home.

Our first strawberry shortcake of the season with splenda, not bad.... Mal did have half a biscuit
Tried to get grandchildren in a picture but now at that age where "No pictures allowed"..lol
Oh well I'll sneak a few from time to time.

Found this picture of Mom and Dad eating one of dad's favorite meals, beans and looks like sausage
with them. Looks like we are also celebrating a birthday....

Another picture of Malcolm's dad with all of us a few years back in Miramichi.....

Still Grateful

As I turn on the TV I am hit by the tragedy that continues throughout the world , then I remember
what I am most grateful for:

A home, family coffee and friends. What more can we ask for. Its the little things that can make us
laugh and times with our friends and family that we cherish.  I think of how many families were affected by Orlando tragedy and what they are feeling as there memories go back to the good times they shared.

Think of what your grateful for today::

flowers

A lovely day Saturday to head to the garden center at John's in Riverview, lots of beautiful
flowers and Mr. Mac loves to go see whats new for this year.  At John's you get great ideas
and they are so helpful.

On the way back we stopped at the Cormier's who were busy setting up their pool and gazebo.
Susan loved our choice of flowers and of course dad was more than happy to go get more to
plant for them. lol

Had to share the picture of my plant given to me from my dear friend Anitha a few years back
on Mothers day. Now the plant is as taller than me.....looks so nice Anitha and hope you get one
for your new home.
