Great time with friends

I look like a teddy bear...lol

Santa

It was a great weekend with Pat, Kelly and Aaliyah and we went to the Christmas parade downtown
where I haven't been in many many years since the grandchildren were small.  A very big parade, lasted 2 hours but it was a nice night for it.  Of course Santa was a big hit.

Aaliyah and Nanny

three generations....of women

Aaliyah loved my fox who plays "What does the fox say", and Mac got a kick out
of her all weekend.  He made her blueberry pancakes for breakfast which she loved.

lessons in life

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money...or the most awards.

They simply are the ones who care the most

who have either made a difference in your life, or whom you keep close in your heart, like I did

'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in  Australia!

Today actually reminds me of the kind of day Nov 11th usually is, a good day probably to do a bit of scrapbooking and catch a movie.

Lots of craft sales happening the rest of the month on Saturdays and I do plan on attending a few especially the Turners Christmas at end of the month.  Tomorrow is Crandall's University and Holiday Inn.......

Have a good weekend everyone.

Congratulations Laurie

It was a proud moment for Laurie when he was awarded the 2015 Volunteer of the year award for Golf Canada.

We certainly have been witnesses to his dedication to the work Laurie has done for N.B. Golf, his
studies continue while in Myrtle Beach each year but we do get him away for a game of sequence from time to time. lol

Hope your success continues Laurie for years to come.

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2015 - #ManOnTheMoon

Moon
Old man and house

This is the story of a young girl called Lily. Looking at the moon through the family telescope one night, she's amazed at what she finds... a man on the moon.
Lily watches as he goes about his chores, all alone up there. She becomes determined to get something to the moon, to send him a message and show him that someone down here is thinking of him

Raking the leaves

It was a windy weekend and although we have no trees we certainly had leaves....... Went out Sunday to start gathering up a few and continued on Monday.

Now I'll show you the picture I have of one of the most beautiful trees I have ever seen right across the street which leaves made went in all directions especially with wind.

Great friends meet again......

It was so nice to wake Saturday morning to  a call from Jan Wortman and Tom....... Our dear friends
we met in Newfoundland who certainly made our stay in St John's a very pleasant one.  Jan worked with Mac but the funny part was they had lived in Moncton when we did before but it was Tom's brother we knew then...........lol

We met in Tim hortons for coffee and a 2 1/2 hr visit, lots to catch up on.  Good news is they may look at moving back into our area in the near future...... Its a good thought at present time.

Hope there family gathering was a fun time for all.

Hubert pays us a visit....

After a friendship of near 50 years we enjoyed a couple of days with Hubert from Saint John. Hubert's wife was one of my best friends in high school and we enjoyed some good times at Donnie's camp, drive in movies or wherever we could hang our hat. lol

Lodie passed away last year and Hubert has been struggling with the loss of a beautiful wife , mom and friend to many.

More appointments this week but will try and get a blog out from time to time.
