the flowers of summer

Malcolm worked around the yard this weekend and the flowers he put into pots just a week or so ago are coming along nicely, I love the colors together.

Saturday was a beautiful day and Mal and I actually went up to the Co Op store and stood in line to go into one of many seniors favorite stores as it closes its doors this weekend.

The Co Op was situated in an area close to many apartments and condo's where people could walk and get there groceries on a daily basis and meet friends for a little chat along the way, one of the last few remaining family stores in town.

The boys leave tomorrow July 1st for Ontario for a trip for lacrosse, heading to Oakville this trip and
to Whitby , August 2-8. We are still planning on making the trip in August and visit good friends and family at the same time.

remembering the good old days

Mr. Rogerson, Principal

One of the mom's of the graduating class of 2015 thought it was a good idea to take a few pictures of the girls where there adventures began, Gunningsville Elementary.  Those were great times with good friends and a time everyone always remember as they grow older.  Elementary school is a time in our lives that we want to return to as we grow older and memories of great times we laugh about in our senior years.

After the girls left Gunningsville school and moved on to middle school and then high school a new
elementary school was built and Mr Rogerson is still principal. Garret still attends for another year.

Trents 15th birthday

Kate was the center of attention for the past week with graduation but during my time away from blogging our grandson Trent had a birthday and turned 15. Parties are a thing of the past but there has to be birthday cake, Nana's rule....lol  I get teased about that all the time.

Trent also has been involved in field lacrosse this year along with box lacrosse...its been a busy spring with both boys heavy into lacrosse and with making the nationals ,  I personally have to thank our friends for supporting the boys with there fund raising. Your support has helped them a great deal.

Graduation 2015

Well nerves were at an all time high but Kate joined all her fellow graduates for a fun evening at the
graduation 2015, held at Riverview arena.

After receiving her diploma she seemed to relax and enjoy the reception held in the lower rink where grade 11 student's parents made a variety of sweets for the families.

Kate plans to join the work force for the next year before continuing her studies.

Tonight the diploma makes the graduation official and I know she is so excited for a great evening with her friends as she says good bye to everyone including all her teachers she has had through high school.

Prom 2015

Well the day has arrived for our first grandchild to graduate, she was beautiful as the day she was born.

Proud parents looked on as Kate and Philip prepared for a fun evening at the casino.

A little nervous we all had her laughing before heading out, and we hope the evening is one she will never forget.

Its been  awhile since I did a blog but tonight was the right time for those precious moments.
