Trent tends to fire while it snows outside.

Well if all goes well we are out of here in this afternoon. Hope to get to Bangor by early evening giving us a good start for tomorrow early.  So everyone, till we get to Myrtle beach this will be last of posts till next week.  Have a good weekend ............

Get the mitts out!!

Are We Having Fun Yet???

Snow, snow snow................where to put the white stuff, not looking good for our travels south...

This is the kind of snow storm I remember as a kid.  Of course, when you're all of 7 years old, 2 feet of snow is a mountain.  And now, outside with some snow drifts and piles well over all 5 feet of me I am ready for some sun. lol..

They are calling for more snow so not sure when we will get on the road with summer tires, lol.
As you can see even with ladder out there snow bank is higher. Usually we try to keep patio half clear but not possible to throw snow over.

snow, snow snow

Where to begin, can't open back door and have to shovel our way to garage to get to back, never
never have we seen this much snow in years.. Think it would have been wise to pull out for the south last week. lol

Yesterday was unbelieveable, no cars, no walkers except this person brave enough to walk down
Frampton Lane, must be our neighbour Sue who never misses a day walking all over neighbour, lol

So shovels  out as its going to be another long day.

Congratulations to Brian on retirement, smart move my friend...your wife will love having you
home but beware she got plans for you. lol

Angel wings are handed out today

Saying goodbye to a wonderful lady today, Rob's grandmother  Mrs. Cormier passed away this week, she was a
wonderful lady who at the age of 93 attended the boys hockey and lacrosse games, cheering for them from the top row of the rink.... The grandchildren are so lucky to have great memories of her to pass on to their children. Another angel gets their wings.

Came across their oldies on facebook, many a days I walked up this street to school.  Brought back
a lot of memories. The building at the top of hill use to be University of New Brunswick. lol

Here in this picture shows the Royal Bank being built and right across from it the building my Mom
lived in for 10 years.  Of course you see Woolworth's, an empty store to this day. What a sin.

The train...

I love the train , never know who you will meet and what goes on with the passengers.

This lady was sitting across from me, she snored like a trooper, and when she would wake up she would dig into her bag, stuff something into her pocket and head down the isle towards the bathroom. It was easy to tell what she was up to as you could smell the smoke, I was very surprised she wasn't caught.   lol

Soon as I got off train there were two ladies talking to Mac about how cold the train was and they HAD to buy a blanket (which they kept) $10.00... They kept on and on I think waiting for us to say we would buy them. lol

Mac was starting out of terminal and bumped into a very big gentlemen, "I'm sorry" Mac said,
Gentlemen, "What are you sorry for",," If we spent our day saying we are sorry we wouldn't get anywhere". we just moved along.  It was interesting to say the least. Never noticed if it was a full moon. lol

Mower time!!

Now I really think my husband has lost it, he needs to head south and soon, I could not find him and there he was out mowing the snow....lol  fooled you, truth is our neighbour is selling his home and
we bought the lawn mower from him and in case house sold while we are away we brought to the garage.

Another storm and I and I am sure he will be packing up sooner than later, its cold enough this am that I think we may miss any snow tonight and I really don't know where we would put it. So hard to see over the snow banks when coming out of driveways.

Over at Sue and Rob's last night for pizza and cake..... nice evening with the kids as well.  Mal jr , Sue and Rob gave me American money to buy myself a gift down in the USA.... yeah.. Kids gave me a Tims card.. for a treat.

Breakfast with the February girls was the start of my day, Bev, Rosina and Sheila picked me up at
9 and off we went for a very relaxing 3 1/2 hr breakfast. (think they were soon bringing lunch menu's to us. lol)

The grandchildren and friends called this am and supper with the family tonight for Pizza and cake.

Last night Malcolm and I went to the house of Lam for supper, best Chinese food in Moncton and Sunday nights we find the buffet is bigger than the lunch ones.

Pats New Great Grandson Dominic

It was my first time to meet Dominic, what a cutie, And he looks just like Dad.  Here you see Nanny (Kelly) and Grampie (Stephen) holding Dominic and you can tell he is the apple of their eye along with Dominic's sister Aaliyah.

Well another day and no school but snow really wasn't as bad as they thought but schools cannot take that chance with school buses running in rural areas.

More shovelling, piles get higher and now its going to turn cold.  Stayed in another day and made a banana bread. Talked to Paula and Anitha on ipad....while having coffee.. love my ipad.

Throw back Thursday

me at one of my birthdays

In front me and Mary Jayne (playing shy) and her sister and brother right behide her.

climbing trees in Maine

Dad's birthday in April. Look at fancy birthday supper. lol but he got a cake.

Being a February baby my birthdays always included lots of friends and even parents to celebrate.
Mom would decorate the house to the hilt with valentines, candy and lots of goodies.  Another one of my friends Angela had a birthday the next day so friends got to go too our parties and both of us being the only child meant lots of goodies at both.

Mary Jayne and I were best of friends all through the years and even though she moved a few blocks away we still kept in close touch and stood in each others wedding. Mary Jayne often came on vacation with us and now she laughs when she sees some of the pictures I have.  With 3 in her family there were not a lot of pictures taken of those days.

Well we had more snow last night, not too bad but it continues all day today with light snow.

Brunch with the girls....

Had a great time at our brunch, Pat and I were so glad the girls were able to come after
storm on Saturday.

We had quite the variety of food which everyone brought and ate and laughed for hours.
Three of our retired friends were missing, Marguerite who is in Australia visiting her son, Linda in Florida and our dear friend Mary in hospital, we missed you all but you were there in spirit.

Went to church on Sunday morning and it was the first mass which a lay person did the
mass. Just so happened that it was Susan Butler who did the mass and she did a wonderful job.

Keep shovels handy sounds like snow still could happen on Thursday.
