Pat pays a visit

Pat was making a trip down to Moncton on her day off to do some returns so I figured it was a
good day to do mine as well.  Stores were really busy for a Tuesday but then again New YEARS eve is tonight so many people took the holidays through Christmas and New years making for a nice long vacation.

Trent was busy with a hockey tournament in Sussex and they were going back and forth all week, good thing Rob had this week off.

No plans for tonight.....just relax, watch a movie and bring in 2015

Anitha and Rama enjoy their family at christmas

We went up to see Anitha and Rama's family who were visiting from Ontario for Christmas,
the family were so excited to be home for Christmas but not near as excited as Anitha and Rama were
then when they went to Halifax to visit their 4th daughter Anapuma and her family to make the
best gift they could receive in 2014 for Christmas.

With both Mac and myself having been sick with colds before Christmas we had to
cancel 2 get togethers with them so today we had a lovely time and lots of laughs.

Weekend Visit from our little Neighbour

We had a great visit from our dear little Maika and her parents Nadine and Shawn.............they live right behind us and Malcolm loves to give their dog Chester treats when he is outside.

And a little girl is going to be 2 in a few weeks, she has grown so fast and its nice to see little ones again since our grandchildren are growing so fast .

Weather was beautiful this weekend and so Susan and Kate picked me up Saturday to go see a few stores for the boxing day specials, forget the specials.............the traffic was so bad we were just anxious to turn in anywhere we could to get out of it so East side Mario's was the lunch date of the day. lol

Friends are packing this week heading south, going to miss my coffee buddy but catch you in May. lol till then hear from you on our ipads...

A great christmas for the MacKenney's

A visit from Uncle Stan, Ryan and Erin

Well Christmas came to our house and surrounded us with our  family again for another
year.

The joke of the night was when Malcolm put a sign on the door which read :

of course that upset a few people as seen here:
not a word, everyone eating

and then: lol......Susan ignores the glare, the others keep their
head down...speechless.

lol

I could not resist this and I know my phone will be ringing shortly telling me to get that off  my blog but for now
had to have some boxing day fun, after all I got my blog up and running again. Yeah...
Have a good day everyone

Positive thoughts..

For the past few years I have been enjoying one particular blog I try to read
whenever I can, its written by a person who has had a lot of tragedy's in life but
continues to live a very positive life.

A few days ago Tina wrote of celebrating the beautiful spirit of her son she lost years ago.
"I could have missed the pain, but I'd of had to miss the dance.." " When you lose a parent you
lose a part of the past, when you lose a sibling you lose a part of the present and when you
lose a child you lose a part of the future."  Beautifully spoken..

Tina Wallace Zarlenga... "Just a Minuts of my Time"

Now being the Christmas season people are in the giving spirit, just the other day when
Malcolm went to pay for his coffee at Tims he found it was paid for, a few days later while
in the line up again a woman let us go ahead so we paid her coffee.. Really feels good.

Pay I forward..

Meet Liz and Gary at Swiss chalet

Well it's christmas and a time to get together with friends..

Gary and Liz will also be heading to Myrtle beach after Christmas and are so excited to hit the
Road.

I am unable to get into my blog the usual way so shall be ending my blog for now until it's easier to get into.... Blogger appears to be using our blogs to promote people into creating blogs and I do not want my readers to deal with this .  I have enjoyed my time here but shall post my pictures to Facebook.

Gals meet at casino

Another delicious meal at the Casino with the birthday girls (Feb) . We always meet in February but
decided we would get together for Christmas and we didn't realize the time till we left 3 hours later...lol. Oh well we don't get together to often so it was nice to see them.

Sheila made us lovely Christmas cards and did a beautiful job as usual, of course she had a little
treat in her goodie bag for each of us...

Came home and my husband is all stuffed up again, that's 3 colds this year, Susan calls, she has chicken pox, even though she had them as  child. They are really burning and itchy and she is so tired.

Christmas a time to see family and friends

Audrey,Jeff. Margaret and Me..

Pat,Reed and Edna

Mac, Edna and Reed

The one thing I enjoy about Christmas is seeing friends and family and this weekend we got
got to  do just that.

Uncle Donnie met us at the door anxious to show us all the cooking he did for Christmas, he got a
new freezer and it won't be long till its full to the top. He cooks for everyone including his doctors and nurses. lol
Uncle Don..,

Picked up my aunt Marg and went to Aunt Audrey's and got to see my cousin Jeff, hadn't seen him in years.

No trip is complete without a visit to market, and of course Titus Bakery... They didn't have cream puffs today but they had a delicious pound cake... wish I had bought 2.

Edna and I exchanged gifts to each other and she brought me lots of goodies for
Christmas, another lady with a big heart and a freezer 1/2 full, sure she brought the other
half to the MacKenney's... lol

The Cormier Tree

The Cormier's hit a new record as the tallest tree yet to decorate.  Trent
shows how tall as he stands by it.

I tried to make some snookerdoodle cookies which I guess we're not as bad as I thought, lol
The kids and big kids liked them so may try them again for Christmas, something different from
Chocolate chip cookies.

Kids were lucky when Paula sent them down treats, no school and a nice treat.

Hope to get to deliver our gifts to Saint John, weather permitting tomorrow.

Great visit and lunch with friends

Great time with Paula, Laurie and Pumpkin yesterday and we exchanged our Christmas gifts
to each other. We always look forward to Paula's goodie basket and the surprises she makes and they are looking forward to the scrapbook I put together of Myrtle Beach.

Pumpkin always sends a gift for gilbert and Paula always makes sure there are goodies for the kids but I really could not get over Pumpkins card to Gilbert, had to snap a picture to show you.

We met up with Rick and Lucy at the Casino and then Anitha and Rama dropped in for lunch, we knew they had appointments but leave it to Anitha to get the appointment moved up a bit to be able to join the group, nice surprise.

we are decorated...

Fireplace in the wrong place... lol

My attempt at a centerpiece

Been a few days since I have posted but getting a few cards done, hauling out the decorations
and getting decorated.

All our snow is gone, the heavy rains on Saturday took it away but expecting more this week, hope for a white Christmas.

Made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for the kids, they were quick to get mom to drop in Sunday to
pick them up, also a couple of banana breads for my aunts in Saint John when we go down.

Looking forward to seeing a few friends for lunch at Casino..That is what Christmas is..... a get together with friends.
